EDIT!: Just to update the posts

So anyways, since there are not much updates, just think main main update this lah. Yesterday was my mother's birthday so we went to Pulau Carey to sightsee their supposedly famous wooden carving mask and seafood and we found was 15 km of this,

with palm oil trees littered left and right. Potong stim betul. At the end of the road at least we got a sight of the sea

There was a restaurant nearby but unfortunately we were a bit late and they were closing. :(

EDIT: since people said that should make the sky slightly darker, dengan penuh berdrama, here it is

Just a shot of my parents at the small little beach

An Ode ...

Dearest Ashley,
May you always have faith in humankind,
I hope that true love continually reverberates through your heart and soul.
May you always be pure,
and never be jaded by your circumstance.
May you always know happiness and peace,
and never experience loneliness.
May you learn to say no,
When you have to and never feel an iota of guilt because of it.
May you always smile your smile of joy,
and bring happiness to all whom you touch.
May you have strength of character,
and always stand up for your principles and rights.
Love you always,
Yee Kor.

mother's day ...

... well, for kelly, as mentioned, it was her first time, and i guess she was pretty taken in with all the hoolabaloo and of course the surprise tea party, which was ONCE again spoiled by none other than Ennis who actually called her up etc. not the first time that woman has done that. :P

for my mom in US, called her and wished her like 3 times, :D and told her i would get her something end year when i'm there.

miss my mama and all the good times we had when we were in the same country.

wishing all mama's a happy mama's day.

Hari Ibu

Mother's Day wasn't a great day for my mom, she was sick and barely had much voice left. In fact, she still is sick. Anyway, what I did was invited her over to Julian's cause there is where I am during weekends. I invited her over for lunch and told she would have a home cooked meal. I also invited my sister and her boyfriend over.

Woke up a tad bit early (considerably so for a Sunday) to get groceries for lunch, whilst Julian cleaned up the house. In the end, Julian cooked and cleaned up 70% of the dishes. Hehe. So thanks to my boyfriend who made MY mother's day a good one for MY mother. *nyek nyek nyek*

Other than that, I didn't anything too special or out of the ordinary or get gifts for her, because I see and spend time pretty often with my mom these days, that makes Mother's Days look not as big a deal as before. I also sent out text to the Lim Klan aunties wishing and thanking them.

Yea, that was how my Mother's Day was.

first time ...

... it was Kelly's first official Mother's Day.

Mother's Day

As we all know, this blog is for bonding between the cousins. So, I was hoping maybe the lot of you would be so kind to share with us what everyone did for Mother's Day.

Pictures or Words, it doesn't matter. As long as you share lah!

here's the Mother of all Mothers
with some of the cousins

and then the mothers with THE Mother

Most of you probably won't remember what you wrote when Ah Mah passed on. Thankfully for the three monkeys who compiled and did the slide show, we get to revisit the words that Ah Mah's Grandchildren penned down.

Jerry :

"ma jolie grandmama, I swear I won’t run away when I go to school anymore, no matter what comes up you’ve been this pillar of strength and love. Something we’ll all never forget. Merci! "

Ken :

"The one grandmother (of all the 5 grandmothers that I have) that I’m closest to.
We would always come and stay with her in Bangsar during every school holiday and
that was the most fun in the whole year. Every morning, she would either gently
smack us to wake us up or gently tap us with her foot so that we would accompany
her on her morning exercise and breakfast routine.

One of my fave memories of her is when all the cousins were around and we didn’t
feel like going for tuition, she joked and said “If you don’t say anything … and I don’t
say anything … who’s going to find out?”

The other memory is when I really didn’t want to go home, she called my Mom and
said “I really, really want him to stay one more week. Please, please can he?” My
Mom relented and said … “Ok.”. I love my Ah Mah … and I’ll miss her. I’m happy that
she’s gone to claim her wings from God."

Ben :

"Ama as I fondly call her, is a greeeaaaat woman. She has taken care of me since I was a small fart. I can still recall going to kindergarten (villamaria) and going for morning walks then breakfast with her in her favourite coffee shop in Lucky Garden. She would always ‘belanja’ me wanton mee ;> . I also would have special memories of her chatting and talking to her ever-cheerful spirit. I would miss her truly and deeply as she has been a wonderful person/companion and grandma to me. "

Carol :

"The story of an old lady with a tail who ate children. No, not Ama but a story I remember most from her. She’d feed me at the doorstep during the rain, at this very house when she told me this story. I can still smell her oil-y, freckled skin in my head, I can still remember walking up the hill with her along Jln. Ara in the early mornings. A woman of great substance is what she is. Going through the hardships in her life has made her what she had become – a beautiful person.

Farewell to my dearly beloved, the memories of your smiles and time spent with you will be with me till I take my last breath"

Jon :

"I remember how we always stay in Bangsar during the holidays and then she always wakes us up by kicking us up. Then she would take those who managed to wake up walking all over Bangsar and how all the old uncles and aunties would always wish “Chou San Ah Ying Che!” I remember how she complains that me and my brother kicks her in out sleep when we sleep. I miss her."

Michelle :

"Ah Mah, my favourite grandmother in the whole entire world. I will never forget her … I love you Ah Mah."

Angela :

"I remember when we were still kids, we used to come to Bangsar every school holidays, and Ah Mah will warmly welcome us, as she likes the noise we make whilst we are here. But now it is quiet here. To lose her is a lost, but I truly hope that she would gain now when God reaches out to her."

Adryenne :

"Ahmah, my favourite granny."

Kevin :

"This happen a little to quick…..way quick. The best moment as far as could remember is when the cousins and myself all stay over here in bangsar during the school holidays. She would get up way earlier than us……and go get us breakfast…….and when we got up everything was laid on the table(what a life!)…..well sadly, all these a just memories to remember as now she is with the Lord."

Cheryl :

"I remember when I was really young, all of us cousins would go to bangsar for a stay during the holidays, we would always have an enjoyable time there, it would be a blast… she’s also my favourite grandmother too…..Ah Mah is the greatest grandmother I ever had…..i love her deeply…even though she’s not with us now….but I will always love her with all my heart….she will remain in my heart…she has a place in my heart that nobody can replace. "

Here's wishing our deeply missed Grandmother a Happy Mother's Day, for wherever she maybe looking upon at us.
